With its Le Locle Régulateur, Tissot brings a legend of the Swiss watchmaking heritage to the wrist. Watches with a regulator-type display are a direct reference to the large traditional workshop clocks that enabled watchmakers to check the accuracy of the watches they were assembling. In the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, precision standards were far from what they now are, and variations in precision were measured in terms of minutes rather than seconds.
