A new watchmaking standard is born : the “Master Control” selfwinding wrist-watch. Only Michel Rochat, Jaeger-LeCoultre’s chief master watchmaker, can decide to release this watch for shipment after 1,000 hours of controlled observation.The model’s JLC 889/1 selfwinding movement - gold rotor, 36 jewels, 28,800 v.p.h. - must successfully undergo 1,000 hours of testing including in temperatures between and kO°C, magnetic fields of 5,000 Aplus repeated shocks and jarring, for M.
