Designed in 1972, Audemars Piguet’s “Royal Oak” was the first luxury sports watch in steel. It is now a classic. A new tantalum and steel model has been designed in honor of gold champion Nick Faldo. A noble metal in its own right, tantalum’s density equal pure gold’s, its hardness that of steel and it is highly corrosion-resistant.
