European Watch Clock and Jewellery Fair 1993 BF 251
This hunter-cased “Grande Complication” pocket watch from Vacheron Constantin’s “Les Complications” is a multifunction chronograph with perpetual calendar and minute repeater. Its original, period movement has been entirely rehabilitated and fitted with a 12-hour and a 30-minute totalizer, plus a special movement plate for the perpetual calendar showing the day of the week, the date, the phases of the moon while automatically and perpetually distinguishing between months with 28, 29, 30 and 31 days on its date display. A pointer shows the current year relative to the next leap year. A small seconds hand is positioned at 6 o’clock on the moonphase display. If desired, the watch will strike hours, quarters and minutes on two gongs. Case and movement mainpiate in yellow gold. Only three of these exceptional timepieces will ever be made.
