Vacheron Constantin «Répétition-minutes squelette» BASEL 94
This pair of spectacularly openworked watches from Vacheron Constantin’s «Les Complications» line are by and large reserved for collectors of exceptional timepieces. More than 50 percent of the metal has been
removed to enhance the functional parts and components of the «Répétition-minutes
squelette» design. This
replica of a 1930s vintage model includes the world’s thinnest handwound movement : barely 3.28 mm. Its repeater mechanism strikes, on request, hours and quarters plus minutes on a pair of gongs. Its sapphire dial bears Roman numerals. Made in limited numbers only. The «Tourbillon squelette» sacrificed no less than 71 percent of its original metal to the openworking process. Its-movement features a pair of series-coupled barrels while the balance spring and escapement are mounted in a tourbillon carriage that rotates on itself once a minute. Sapphire dial with Roman numerals. Power-reserve indication at 12 o’clock. Case in 18K pink gold. Made in limited numbers only.
